About

Living in Los Angeles, it can feel impossible to escape nutrition advice, from casual conversations with neighbors to well-meaning suggestions from family and friends. Diet trends and conflicting messages are everywhere. Even as a dietitian, I know how overwhelming it can be to sort through it all.

I created EmpoweRD Eating to offer a pause from the constant debates around the “best diet” so we can slow down together, look at the full picture, and use evidence-informed care to determine what will meaningfully support your health and nourishment.

I was drawn to the field of nutrition in my undergrad when I realized that made a genuine difference in my body and life, and I simply found the science behind it fascinating.

Fast forward a few years and since becoming a Registered Dietitian, I have worked in virtual private practice, residential eating-disorder treatment, and adolescent treatment settings. I supported people with their nutrition1:1 while also leading groups on nutrition, body image, self-esteem, meal planning, and cooking skills.

Each setting has taught me something different: how deeply food can be connected to emotions and identity and how important it is for nutrition care to fit into someone’s real life. I bring those experiences into my work at EmpoweRD Eating, with the goal of offering thoughtful, individualized support that helps nutrition feel more useful and less overwhelming.

As a Registered Dietitian, I completed advanced nutrition coursework, more than 1,200 hours of supervised practice, and a national credentialing examination. My recommendations are rooted in nutrition science. You can verify my credential here.

My Approach

My practice is weight-inclusive and Health at Every Size®-aligned. Rather than treating body size as a measure of health or success, I focus on nourishment and the changes that feel meaningful to you. This approach recognizes body diversity and supports individualized care without making weight loss a requirement for respect or healthcare.

I also aim to provide culturally responsive, affirming care for BIPOC clients. Your cultural food traditions, identity, and the systems that shape your access to care and food deserve to be part of the conversation, not something to set aside in order to fit someone else’s idea of “healthy.”
